Ya I had that problem with my sandisk card. It's 8gbs but it's a class 4.
My new card is an 8gb panasonic but it's class 6.
The camera has a certain amount of "buffer" room between the lens and the card but if you the camera can't write the info onto the card fast enough the buffer fills and it auto stops.

SO long story short you may need a class 6 card.
